The Development Corporation will commence a new search for a Chief Executive following a personal decision by David Hill to stay at Defra.
David will be continuing at Defra as Director General Water, leading a significant programme of reform to the water system including major legislation in the year ahead.
Peter Freeman, Chair said, "nowhere more than Cambridge do we recognise the challenges faced in delivering the water infrastructure needed to support a healthy environment, thriving communities and a strong economy. So, whilst we are of course disappointed not to be welcoming David to the Development Corporation in September, I fully understand his decision.
"We will continue to work closely with David, the teams across the Defra Group and the Cambridge Water Scarcity Group to deliver an infrastructure-led programme of growth for Greater Cambridge."
Whilst the search for a Chief Executive progresses, the Development Corporation team will continue to be led by Beth Dugdale, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, working closely with the Board.
Alongside appointing the Chief Executive, the Development Corporation is also seeking candidates for the following roles:
Director of Transport
Assistant Director, Infrastructure Delivery
Head of Water infrastructure
